This ensures that the ventilation ducts provide the greatest possible coverage of the areas requiring ventilation, prevents the occurrence of ventilation dead zones, and minimises the impact on production operations and space utilisation.

With regard to system simulation and analysis, utilising specialist ventilation design software, simulation analyses were carried out on the ventilation system. These involved simulating the airflow patterns within the workshop under various operating conditions, as well as the temperature distribution within the workshop under different operating conditions, and the patterns of pollutant dispersion within the workshop under various operating conditions. This enabled the optimisation of parameters such as the diameter of the ventilation ducts, the distribution of airflow, the design of air outlets and their positioning, thereby achieving optimal ventilation performance and meeting energy-saving targets.

Adhering to a bespoke design philosophy, we carry out customised ventilation duct design work based on the specific characteristics and requirements of each workshop. For example, in the case of workshops with specialised production processes or environmental requirements—such as electronic chip manufacturing workshops, which have high cleanliness standards, or chemical processing workshops, which have high corrosion resistance requirements—we design bespoke ventilation solutions, including specific duct materials and structures, to meet these specialised ventilation needs.

Material SelectionOptimisation

With regard to performance matching, suitable ducting materials should be selected based on the operating environment of the ventilation system and the relevant requirements, whilst also taking into account various factors such as the materials’ corrosion resistance, wear resistance, thermal insulation properties and fire resistance. In workshops with damp conditions or where corrosive gases are present, stainless steel or fibreglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) ducting may be used; for workshops with high thermal insulation requirements, composite ducting materials with an insulating layer may be selected.

· Balancing quality and cost: Whilst ensuring the performance of workshop ventilation ducts, give full consideration to both the quality and cost of materials. Compare materials of different brands and specifications to select products offering the best value for money. At the same time, take into account the service life and maintenance costs of the materials to prevent frequent repairs or replacements due to quality issues, which would increase overall costs.

With regard to the application of new materials, attention should be paid to new technologies and products for ventilation ductwork, and active efforts should be made to adopt new materials that are both environmentally friendly and highly efficient. For example, certain new polymer composite materials are characterised by their light weight and high strength; they offer the advantage of low airflow resistance and are easy to install. These materials can meet ventilation requirements whilst simultaneously enhancing the overall performance of the system.

ProcessingOptimisation

Automated processing is carried out using advanced automated machinery and processes, thereby improving the manufacturing precision of ventilation ducts as well as production efficiency. For example, equipment such as CNC plasma cutters and CNC press brakes is utilised to automate processes such as cutting and bending, thereby reducing human error and improving the consistency of processing quality.

Uniform standards and specific process procedures have been specially formulated for the fabrication of workshop ventilation ductwork, with a view to standardising fabrication operations. Standardised design and fabrication have been implemented for duct dimensions, connection methods, welding processes and surface treatment, thereby facilitating mass production andquality control, and it is also highly beneficial for subsequent installation and maintenance.

– Optimisation of existing ventilation duct connection designs: Improving the methods used to connect ventilation ducts in order to enhance the airtightness and reliability of the connections. - Exploring alternative connection methods alongside existing ones: In addition to traditional flange and seamed connections, innovative connection technologies such as quick-release fasteners and push-fit connections can be adopted. - New connection methods offer ease of installation and improved efficiency: These connection methods not only offer the advantages of being quick and easy to install, but also effectively reduce air leakage, thereby improving the efficiency of the ventilation system.

Optimisation of Quality Control

It is essential to implement comprehensive quality monitoring throughout the entire ventilation duct fabrication process. A comprehensive quality control system must be established, with rigorous quality inspections carried out at every stage—from the inspection of raw materials, through the execution of fabrication processes, to the final acceptance of finished products—to ensure that quality issues are identified and rectified in a timely manner, thereby ensuring that product quality meets the required standards.

· Non-destructive testing techniques, such as ultrasonic testing and radiographic testing, are employed to inspect the welds and internal structure of ventilation ducts, thereby enabling the timely detection of potential quality defects, such as weld cracks and porosity. Non-destructive testing allows for an accurate assessment of duct quality without causing damage to the ducts, thereby enhancing the standard of quality control.

With regard to quality traceability, a quality traceability system must be established. For each batch of workshop ventilation ducts, detailed records must be kept of the origin of raw materials, the manufacturing process and inspection results. Should any quality issues be detected, it must be possible to rapidly trace them back to their source and subsequently take appropriate measures to rectify the situation. Furthermore, user feedback must be collected, and manufacturing processes and quality control measures must be continuously optimised in response to issues arising during use.

Design Optimisation · Precise Measurement and Layout: During the early stages of design, precise on-site measurements of the workshop are carried out.
